Watching a Polo match

Guess what we did today! We went to watch a Polo match right here in Tennessee! It was a first for me and Sandra as well as Doreen, Joelle and Natalie. Our friends, Bill and Gloria called last night and asked if we'd like to go watch a Polo match. We said, why not and today we went out to the field and watched this sport for the first time. For those of you who don't know Polo, the game is played between two teams of four mounted men (or women-there were some women on the teams) on a field that measures 300 by 160 yards (as big as nine football fields) with goalposts at either end. The object is to move a ball downfield and through the goal in six periods of play known as "Chukkers." Each Chukker is seven minutes long. There are no time-outs except for injuries, penalties, or unsafe situations. And no replacement of players is allowed except for injuries.

Here we are; Sandra, Gloria, Bill, Joelle, Doreen, Natalie, Natalie again, me (in blue),Sandra again, Gloria and Bill again all ready to watch Polo.
