That's right! We went into Perkins Restaurant for "breakfast" at about 11:00 today. When the waitress came to our table the first thing Sandra said was, "This is his birthday," while pointing at me. The waitress got a sly look, said "happy birthday" and dissappeared. When she came back by she asked me my name.
In a little while, here comes all these people gathering around our table, our waitress acting as the ring leader and presenting me with my banana nut muffin. Then she raised her voice and asked for the attention of the whole dining room. She announced that it was Larry's birthday and told them all to join in singing - which they all did quite lustily. By then my face was red, Sandra was laughing with glee (her face was red too-from laughing) and the waitress called attention to the fact that I was shagrinned. Needless to say, Grandma is in trouble - but now that it's over, I guess it was O.K.

Happy Birthday to Me
It's Larry's birthday today! We're celebrating by not being in the truck! That's right, we're being lazy at our pad - Motel 6. Guess where we went the other day. Tht's right how did you guess - Kennedy Space Center. No we didn't get to see the shuttle, Discovery being launched - why? well we were picking up a fuel pump to take and have it repaired, but they had put the cover on wrong so we had to take it off the truck and leave without our freight. But we did see these pictures of Discovery and we did cross the water you see in the bacground and we did see several rockets and other neat things. . Hope you have a nice day.

Feeling Young Again!
Well, Sandra snd I have been home for a while nursing our colds/flu. This weekend, I had the privilage of playing with 2 of my granddaughters. I tried on their pirate outfit and pretended to be Captain Hook out to pilfer some gold. Natalie ran and got her camera and took this picture.
Then they had me be a horse (they called me "Old Horse"!!) and guided me around the house with a ribbon bridle which Joelle pulled right and left to make me turn.

Of course, the camera had to be used again and so I gave them one of my dignified poses. I noticed that the date should be 1-19-2008. The girls do not know how to set the date yet.
I may not look like it on the outside, but inside I felt young and playful this weekend. Thanks Kids!
